Caribbean Carnival in the Heart of London

Notting Hill Carnival

Since 1966, during the August Bank Holiday, the streets of Notting Hill transform into a Caribbean carnival. Filled with music, dance groups, delicious food, and an electric atmosphere, it’s a celebration like no other. For photographers, it’s a visual feast—vibrant colors, dynamic movement, and raw emotion at every corner. Notting Hill Carnival isn’t just an event; it’s an explosion of culture and life in the heart of London.

2014

Notting Hill Carnival 2014 began with promise—the first day was bright and sunny, full of energy and color. But the second day told a different story. The weather turned uncooperative, with rain falling steadily from morning to evening. For the first time, I saw the vibrant feathers and beautiful costumes soaked through, their usual brilliance dimmed by the grey skies.
